On a recent trip to Alaska we visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center near Portage. We really enjoyed watching the bears playing in the water and the trees. Please find out more about this wonderful park at: www.alaskawildlife.org
We did see a Grizzly mother and her 2 cubs in Denali National Park but they were too far away to take a picture. On the way back a huge male Grizzly strolled down the road in front of our bus, but everyone got in my way, so again, I couldn't get a picture! Very frustrating!! Alaska is a truly amazing state to see and we want to go back during the salmon run season, so we have more chance to see the bears. |
